Richard Penny

Richard Penny, PhD, MBA, serves as Contributing Faculty in the EdD Program Campus within the College of Health Sciences at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS). He teaches Research Methods II and chairs dissertation committees for EdD students. With over 20 years of experience, he has advised >85 doctoral students across multiple institutions including East Carolina University, Heritage University, and the University of Washington.

Research Focus: Dr. Penny's work emphasizes student retention and completion strategies in higher education. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Education and Training Studies and Board Member of the Higher Education Teaching and Learning Association.

Leadership Experience: Former university administrator and Vice Chancellor at University of Washington Bothell. Completed the Washington Executive Leadership Academy for senior academic leadership roles.
