Patrick Roulet is a Professor of Percussion and Percussion Area Coordinator at Western Washington University. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) from the University of Washington, a Master of Music from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Michigan. His research interests include global music pedagogy, particularly West African Gyil methodologies applied to marimba, and interdisciplinary collaborations with composers, dancers, and visual artists. He has authored arrangements for keyboard percussion, including works inspired by Ghanaian music, Disney classics, and church hymns. Notable performances include his tenure as principal timpanist with the Bellingham Festival Orchestra and collaborations with the Seattle Symphony. His work has been featured at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) and the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic.
