Panos Leventis is a Professor of Architecture at Drury University's Hammons School of Architecture in Springfield, Missouri. A licensed architect in Cyprus and Greece since the mid-1990s, he has practiced extensively and contributed to urban design competitions. He earned a B.Arch. from the University of Southern California (1993), an M.Arch. in Urban Design from UCLA (1996), and a Ph.D. in the History and Theory of Architecture from McGill University (2004) as a Commonwealth Scholar. He directed the Drury Center in Greece (2008–2013) and has taught at USC's Milan Study Abroad Program, McGill University, and the University of Cyprus.

His research focuses on urban history, street art, and crisis urbanism, particularly in divided cities like Nicosia and Athens. His work examines how cultural resistance and historical memory shape urban fabric through architectural interventions. He has lectured internationally at institutions such as Pratt Institute, University of New Mexico, and Neapolis University Paphos.
Recent publications explore street art as a medium for urban resistance, including studies on Athens' historic center during economic crises and the Levant's urban identity. His 2005 landmark book Twelve Times in Nicosia analyzes architectural topography and urban experience in Cyprus from 1192–1570.
