Panos Kapotas

Panos Kapotas is a Reader in Equality and Human Rights Law at the University of Portsmouth's School of Law, part of the Faculty of Business & Law. He serves as Associate Head (Research and Innovation) and oversees doctoral programs as Departmental Research Degrees Coordinator. His expertise spans equality, discrimination, employment law, and EU law.

Education: PhD in Law (London School of Economics), LLM (UCL), Law Degree (Kapodistrian University of Athens). He is a member of the Athens Bar Association and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Research Interests: Focused on gender equality, transformative policy strategies, and institutional reform. His work addresses systemic discrimination in lawmaking processes, labor market policies, and crisis responses to gender-based violence. Recent projects emphasize gender representation in leadership and policy networks.

Key Contributions: Co-edited works on human dignity in European democracy and contributed to transformative equality frameworks. His publications span policy analysis, legal pedagogy, and judicial decision-making methodologies.
