Pamm Phillips is Professor and Program Director of Sport Management in Deakin Business School's Department of Management, with affiliations to the Centre for Sport Research and Women in Sport and Exercise group. Her research focuses on volunteer management (particularly referees/umpires) and sport development, with significant industry impact through longitudinal evaluations for organizations like the Australian Football League.
Research examines systemic approaches to sport governance, gender diversity on boards, officiating development pathways, and community sport delivery models. Her work has directly influenced national junior sport policies affecting over 75,000 volunteers and 700,000 participants.
