Paloma I. Beamer is a Professor in the College of Public Health at the University of Arizona, with joint appointments in Chemical & Environmental Engineering and the Asthma and Airway Disease Research Center. She serves as Community Engagement Core Director for the Southwest Environmental Health Sciences Center (NIEHS P30). Dr. Beamer holds a BS from UC Berkeley and MS/PhD from Stanford University. Her research focuses on environmental contaminant exposures in vulnerable populations, including children, low-wage workers, Indigenous communities, and border regions, aiming to develop preventive interventions for diseases like asthma.
