Padam Simkhada

Padam Simkhada is Professor of Global Health and Associate Dean International at the University of Huddersfield. His research addresses health systems strengthening, migrant worker well-being, and non-communicable disease management in low-resource settings, especially Nepal and Ghana. With 230+ publications, he focuses on equitable healthcare access and community interventions.

Recent studies analyze mental health legislation in Nepal, breast cancer screening gaps in Ghana, and digital storytelling for migrant mental health. He collaborates with governments and NGOs to translate evidence into policy.

Honored with the Global Health Award 2013, he mentors PhD students and leads international capacity-building projects for nursing regulators.
