Precious Adade Duodu is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Nursing at the University of Huddersfield, UK, serving as the International Lead for the Department. He is also a Member of the Centre for Applied Research in Health and Co-Chair of the Black Staff Affinity Group within the Race Equity Staff Network. His roles include Module Leader, Admissions Tutor for Adult Nursing, Link Lecturer, and Personal Academic Tutor, showcasing his multifaceted contributions to academia and student support.
Precious holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing (ongoing) from the University of Huddersfield. He earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) with Distinction from the University of Aberdeen, funded by the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship. His earlier qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (First Class Honours) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, and a Diploma in Education from the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. He is a Fellow of the Advance HE (FHEA) and the Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH).
His research focuses on nursing education and internationalisation, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including diabetes, hypertension, stroke, and dementia, and public health nutrition. He also explores maternal and child health, with methodologies spanning quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods approaches. His work emphasizes global health equity, particularly in the Global South.

Precious has supervised two research students and contributed to numerous funded projects. As a Principal Investigator (PI), he leads studies on dementia care solutions in Ghana and diabetes dietary self-care. As a Co-Investigator, he collaborates on projects like the multi-country NCD cohort study (Ghana, Nepal, India) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (N&MC) Ghana regulatory strengthening. Recent grants include funding from the University of Huddersfield, NHS England, and the UK Department of Health and Social Care.
He actively participates in the Centre for Applied Research in Health and fosters international partnerships through his role as International Lead. Collaborations span institutions globally, including the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and the Tropical Health and Education Trust (THET).
