Ossie Jones serves as Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS), a position held since 2008. Previously, he was Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School (MMUBS), where he founded the Centre for Enterprise and its incubator Innospace.
His research centers on entrepreneurial resourcing strategies, particularly bootstrapping in new ventures. Key publications appear in Business History, Entrepreneurship & Regional Development, and International Small Business Journal, with recent collaborative work focusing on dynamic entrepreneurial learning capabilities. He co-authored the textbook Resourcing the Start-up Business with ULMS colleagues Dilani Jayawarna and Allan Macpherson.
Professor Jones held significant editorial roles including co-editorship of the International Journal of Management Reviews (2010-2016) and editorship of the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research (2005-2010). His institutional contributions include establishing MMUBS's Centre for Enterprise and business incubation infrastructure.
