Onur Arugaslan is a Professor of Finance at the Haworth College of Business, Western Michigan University, and serves as Director of the Personal Financial Planning Program and Co-director of the Sanford Center for Financial Planning and Wellness. His roles include academic leadership, research oversight, and strategic initiatives in financial education and wellness.
Dr. Arugaslan holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey. His career bridges technical expertise and financial acumen, reflecting his interdisciplinary background.
Research Interests: Focus on dual-class corporate structures, the interplay of cash flow and voting rights, liquidity dynamics, and risk-adjusted performance in financial instruments like ADRs. He also explores market reactions to corporate takeovers, personal financial planning strategies, and cross-border investment patterns.
