Devrim Yaman is the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs and the Robert J. Bobb Professor of Finance and Commercial Law at Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business. She holds a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from the University of New Orleans and an M.S. in International Trade and Finance from Lancaster University, United Kingdom.
Her research focuses on corporate finance, debt and equity issues, earnings warnings, and corporate takeovers. Over 35 of her articles have been published in journals such as the Journal of Banking and Finance and Financial Management, with many receiving outstanding research awards. She also serves on the editorial boards of four academic journals.
Yaman teaches courses in corporate finance, computer applications in finance, and investments, offering instruction in face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats. She has mentored numerous graduate and undergraduate students through independent studies, internships, and honors thesis committees.
Active in professional service, she chairs committees at WMU, serves on the board of the CFA West Michigan Society, and participates in local economic development initiatives. Additionally, she is a CFA Charterholder with prior experience as a financial analyst.
