Her recent publications demonstrate a strong research trajectory focusing on personality pathology in youth, cultural identity conflict among refugees, household chaos and borderline features, and the relationship between social support and mental health. She employs diverse methodologies including longitudinal studies, clinical assessments, and transactional models to understand adolescent development.
Among her notable achievements is obtaining her PhD cum laude from the University of Groningen for research into adolescent adaptability. She has been actively involved in research into the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on young people through the 'Youth Challenge' of the National Science Agenda.
Dr. Laceulle collaborates extensively with researchers across institutions, particularly with colleagues at Utrecht University including N. Koster, C.J. Hessels, and M.A.G. van Aken. Her work appears regularly in high-impact journals across psychology, psychiatry, and developmental science.
