Oday Salim is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Michigan Law School, serving as Director of the Environmental Law and Sustainability Clinic and Co-director of the Environmental and Energy Law Program, while also practicing as an attorney at the National Wildlife Federation's Great Lakes Regional Center.
His educational credentials include:

- LLM in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from Lewis & Clark
- Studies in history, literature, and philosophy at l’Université de Poitiers
Salim's research focuses on environmental law, energy law, and environmental justice, with specialized expertise in water law, renewable energy systems, stormwater management, and utility regulation. His work emphasizes environmental protection in minority communities, public health advocacy, and innovative approaches like conferring legal rights to natural resources and implementing green infrastructure in urban settings.
He has received significant recognition including the Grist 50 Fixers award (2018) for advancing environmental and public health protection in underserved communities.
Through the Environmental Law and Sustainability Clinic, Salim provides hands-on legal training in environmental litigation and policy development, while the Environmental and Energy Law Program fosters interdisciplinary solutions for complex sustainability challenges.
