Nora McCarthy

Dr. Nora McCarthy is a Lecturer in Medical Education at the College of Medicine and Health, University College Cork (UCC), where she has worked since 2010. She co-coordinates academic and assessment activities at the Mercy University Hospital clinical site and has led international initiatives like the FP7 S-HELP consortium on crisis management training. Her PhD in Business Information Systems focused on assessment frameworks for digital learning environments.

Awards include the 2014 UCC President's Award for Teaching Innovation and the 2004 O.K. Shorten Memorial Award. Recent grants include €165,600 under FP7 S-HELP (2014-2017) for crisis management training modules.
