Her work particularly examines how simulation and technology can reduce medical error and improve clinical handover processes. She has led significant European collaborations including the PATIENT project and COLLAGE initiative focused on improving patient handover and active aging.
Her publication record demonstrates consistent focus on interprofessional education, clinical handover training, and patient safety. The research shows evolution from early work on self-directed learning to more recent large-scale European collaborations examining clinical handover processes and interprofessional training in acute care settings. Her work bridges educational theory with practical clinical applications, particularly in emergency medicine and transition to practice.
