Dr. Aislinn Joy is a Senior Lecturer in Medical Education at the Medical Education Unit, School of Medicine, University College Cork (UCC), with leadership roles as Vice Dean in the School of Medicine and Chairperson of UCC's Graduate Studies Committee. She coordinates the MCh in Surgical Science and leads interprofessional learning (IPL) initiatives.

- Pursuing MA in Gaelic Literature and Culture at UCC
Her research focuses on interprofessional learning (face-to-face/online/simulation-based), human factors for patient safety, digital education innovation, and medical humanities. She supervises three PhD students in these areas and has secured multiple national and international grants including ERASMUS and National Forum for Teaching and Learning funding.
Recent publications highlight interprofessional education trends across pharmacy, medicine, and surgery, with emphasis on patient safety, simulation-based learning, and digital tools. Awards include UCC President's Awards for Teaching Excellence and NAIRTL Grant recognition.
