Aidan Culhane is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Limerick School of Medicine, where he has been teaching since 2007. He pioneered Ireland's first Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) in general practice and currently serves as Module Lead for the Early Patient Contact Programme. He is also a practicing general practitioner in Castleconnell, County Limerick, and a medical officer for over 200 patients with intellectual disability through the Daughters of Charity services.
