Nicola Hague is a Lecturer in Social Sciences at York St John University within the School of Science, Technology and Health. She completed her undergraduate studies in PE and Youth Sports at York St John (graduating with first class honors), followed by an MSc by Research at the same institution, and is currently completing her PhD focusing on professional football transitions.
Her research interests center on the sociology of sport, with particular emphasis on professional football career transitions, especially the journey into retirement. She has conducted significant research projects including work with Goalball UK on the social value of disability sports and with UniConnect on youth center provision in Northern England.
