Dr Ngim Chin Fang is an Associate Professor (Practice) at the Malaysia Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University. She holds qualifications including a MBBS (Honours) from the University of New South Wales and MRCP(UK) in Paediatrics. Her expertise spans medical education, paediatrics, and infectious diseases, with a focus on evidence synthesis, thalassaemia, and dengue fever.
Dr Ngim has contributed to Monash University’s medical programs since 2007, leading initiatives in children’s health teaching, curriculum development, and assessment strategies. Her innovations include simulation-based neonatal resuscitation workshops and case-based interdisciplinary learning, earning her awards like the Monash University Malaysia PVC Award for Teaching Excellence (2010, 2012).
Her research addresses dengue epidemiology, thalassaemia management, and paediatric health outcomes. She coordinates clinical years assessments across Monash Malaysia and collaborates on projects like the Deployment of a Highly Multiplexed Sequencing-Based Human Disease Panel for pathogen detection.
Dr Ngim has received accolades including the Best Oral Presentation (2013) and Best Poster Award (2024). Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in advancing quality education and health equity.
