Amreeta Dhanoa is an Associate Professor and Consultant Clinical Microbiologist at the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia. She is a pioneer staff member who contributed significantly to developing the medical curriculum at Monash University Malaysia. As Discipline Coordinator for Microbiology, she leads curriculum design and teaching innovations, focusing on active learning modules, case-based learning, and interdisciplinary approaches. She employs student response systems like Kahoot! and Poll Everywhere to enhance classroom engagement. Her research focuses on dengue infection, antibiotic-resistant bacteria, bone infections, and medical education. She has authored numerous publications and presented globally.

Research Interests: Her work addresses dengue pathogenesis, antibiotic resistance mechanisms, bone infection management, and medical education innovations. She explores viral respiratory infections mimicking dengue and the impact of comorbidities on disease severity. Her recent projects include genomic studies of drug-resistant bacteria and host responses to dengue infections.
