Nelly Taha serves as an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Global Studies and Modern Languages at Drexel University, with her office located in Academic Building, room 315. She holds a Law Degree from Alexandria University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from California State University, transitioning from a legal career in Cairo, Egypt to language education after relocating to Los Angeles.
Her research focuses on Motivation and Curriculum, Technology and Curriculum, and the Communicative Functions of Code-Switching, driven by firsthand experience addressing demotivating curriculum gaps in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (TAFL). She has published the eBook "Salaam 2 U" for beginners and is developing "Salaam 2 Arabic" for all proficiency levels, reflecting her commitment to innovative Arabic language pedagogy through Egyptian-American cultural exchange initiatives.
