Nele Sawallisch is Assistant Professor of American Literature at the Department of English Studies, Department II, University of Trier, where she has been teaching since October 2021. She is actively involved in academic leadership, serving as the Equal Opportunity Officer for her faculty and as the director of the Trier Center for American Studies since summer 2024.
