Lisa Weglinski is a doctoral researcher at Johannes Gutenberg-University, Mainz, affiliated with Professor Mita Banerjee’s team. She contributes to the German Research Foundation (DFG) funded Collaborative Research Center (CRC 1482) project titled 'Studies in Human Differentiation' (TP A04: 'Successful Aging: Best Agers at the Intersection between Differentiating Age and Achievement').

Lisa’s research integrates interdisciplinary approaches like sociological fieldwork to investigate Aging Studies, focusing on 'successful aging.' Her work connects age with sports and competition, reflecting her interest in social differentiation. She has co-authored publications on topics such as Indigenous literature and intersectional analyses of age and gender.
