Navin Chettri is a Lecturer of Music at the Lionel Hampton School of Music, University of Idaho, where he also serves as Manager of the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival and ACMS, and Artistic Director of the World Music Celebration. He holds both a Master of Music and Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance & Composition from the same institution.
His research and creative interests center on jazz, world music, percussion performance, and cross-cultural fusion. As a performer and composer, he blends Western jazz with global traditions from Nepal, India, Brazil, West Africa, and the Americas, creating innovative musical forms such as 'Tabla Forro' and 'The Himalayan Duo.'
