Natalie Bergman is a researcher at the University of Borås, affiliated with the Academy of Care, Working Life and Welfare and the Department of Care Sciences. She is a specialist nurse in psychiatric care with prior experience in hospital psychiatric inpatient care and municipal healthcare, focusing on Social Psychiatry.

Her research project, initiated in autumn 2023, aims to improve the prehospital assessment of patients with mental illness within ambulance healthcare. The goal involves designing a decision support tool to direct patients to the most appropriate care level through collaboration with municipal healthcare, psychiatry, and primary care organizations. She is part of the SHIFT CARE graduate school and supervised by Magnus Hagiwara, Aleksandra Jarling, and Beatrice Alenljung from the University of Skövde.
