Naomi Nichols is an Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair (Tier 2) in Community-Partnered Social Justice at Trent University's Department of Sociology, affiliated with Otonabee College. She holds a B.A. from Trent University, B.Ed. from Queen's University, and M.A. and Ph.D. from York University. Her research focuses on youth inequality, homelessness prevention, poverty, and data governance in child welfare systems. She actively supports students with lived experiences of systemic exclusion and employs an equity-driven teaching approach.
