Nancy Puttkammer

Nancy Puttkammer is an Associate Professor at the Department of Global Health, University of Washington. She serves as a Research and Evaluation Advisor at the International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH), focusing on digital health initiatives across Haiti, Kenya, South Africa, and Ukraine.

Her research specializes in strengthening health information systems, improving HIV care cascades in resource-limited settings, and leveraging electronic medical records (EMRs) for implementation science. She develops workforce capacity for data use and evaluates health informatics policy in low-resource contexts.

Recent publications highlight her work on pandemic impacts on HIV care, ART adherence interventions, and data quality assessments in Kenya and Haiti. She leads the Digital Initiatives Group at I-TECH (DIGI) and has 30+ years of experience in public health programs across the US, Africa, and the Caribbean.

Her work intersects health systems strengthening, informatics, and HIV/AIDS epidemic control under PEPFAR. She is affiliated with the Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) and the e-learning Program (eDGH).
