Dr. Philip Keiser is a Professor of Internal Medicine and Global Health at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health), serving as Associate Dean for Public Health Practice. His primary focus is HIV/AIDS care, clinical research, and global health initiatives, particularly in Kenya. He leads the Texas AIDS Drug Assistance Program Advisory Board and the Texas Oklahoma AIDS Education Center. Dr. Keiser has extensive experience in HIV clinical trials, with over 50 trials conducted, and contributes to the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). His research includes evaluating antiretroviral therapy outcomes in Kenya and addressing structural barriers to health equity.
