Nahid Ibrahim is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Marketing at Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds. She is an experimental behavioural scientist with expertise in judgment and decision-making, metacognition, memory, and consumer motivation.
Her educational background includes:
- PhD in Marketing (Minor in Psychology), University of Alberta, Canada
- MSc in Marketing and Consumer Studies, University of Guelph, Canada
- BBA in Marketing and Finance, North South University, Bangladesh
Her research explores how individuals interact with dynamic decision environments, particularly those involving AI and machine learning, and how social and contextual factors influence consumer choices, experiences, and well-being. She aims to develop scalable behavioral interventions and decision tools to improve consumer decision-making. Her interdisciplinary work bridges marketing, psychology, and behavioral economics.
Nahid has presented her research at premier academic forums including the Association for Consumer Research, Society for Judgment and Decision Making, and Society for Consumer Psychology. Although recent publications are not listed, her research agenda is active and impactful in the domain of consumer behavior and decision science.
She holds the responsibility of School Ethics Lead for BESS+ FREC, demonstrating leadership in research ethics. Her teaching includes advanced courses such as LUBS5402M Consumer Behaviour and LUBS5453M Research Methods for Marketing, contributing significantly to postgraduate education.
