Naghmeh Sohrabi is the Charles (Corky) Goodman Professor of Middle East History and Director for Research at the Crown Center for Middle East Studies, Brandeis University. She specializes in modern Iranian and Middle Eastern history, historiography, nationalism, and comparative revolutions.

Her research focuses on the intersection of Iranian history, politics, and culture, with a particular emphasis on the Iranian Revolution, decolonization, and comparative revolutionary movements. She has received prestigious fellowships and grants, including the ACLS Fellowship (2020-21) and the Berlin Prize (2021), to support her current book project on the 1979 Iranian Revolution.
