Dr. Nadia Ncube is a Research Associate at the MRC/CSO Social & Public Health Sciences Unit and Honorary Research Fellow at the School of Health and Wellbeing, University of Glasgow. She holds a PhD from the University of Cape Town and specializes in qualitative research methods including youth co-production and participatory action research.
Her research focuses on adolescent mental health, Black girlhood studies, menstruation practices, and sociological aspects of the body and family. She investigates how cultural and social factors influence health behaviors in marginalized populations, with particular emphasis on African contexts.
Dr. Ncube's recent publications demonstrate consistent focus on menstrual health in Zimbabwean communities and adolescent mental health interventions. Her work integrates feminist methodologies with public health approaches, examining social determinants of health through participatory research designs that engage youth as co-researchers.
