Máille Faughnan serves as Professor of Practice and Associate Director for Social Innovation at Tulane University, teaching human-centered design and social innovation to educators, non-profit professionals, and graduate/undergraduate students through tailored workshops and community partnerships.
Her educational background includes an MS in International Development and a doctorate from Tulane's Payson Graduate Program for Global Development, specializing in social innovation and human-centered design within international development contexts.
Dr. Faughnan's interdisciplinary research employs qualitative and ethnographic methodologies to examine cultural dimensions of global development institutions, with fieldwork spanning New Orleans, Central America, and East Africa. Key research domains include:
