Monika Namysłowska

Monika Namysłowska serves as Full Professor and Head of the Department of European Economic Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Lodz. She maintains active duty hours on Tuesdays (10:15-11:45) at Kopcińskiego 8/12, room 4.22 in Łódź, with remote options available via MS Teams.

Her academic journey began with law studies at the University of Lodz, followed by specialized training through the School of German and European Law (cooperating with University of Wilhelm in Münster), postgraduate studies in competition law at Jagiellonian University, comparative law courses in Strasbourg, and competition law training at the European Law Academy in Trier.

Professor Namysłowska's research focuses on the intersection of consumer protection, unfair commercial practices, and emerging technologies. Her work bridges traditional legal frameworks with contemporary challenges in artificial intelligence and digital markets, examining ethical implications alongside regulatory requirements. She has established herself as a leading voice in European economic law through extensive publications and international collaborations.

Professor Namysłowska leads the TechLawClinics project (Erasmus+ 2019-2022) and participates in governmental initiatives including the Working Group on Artificial Intelligence at the Prime Minister's Chancellery, demonstrating her commitment to translating academic research into practical policy frameworks.
