Dr Mohammad Mahmood is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Public Health at the University of Adelaide, within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. He focuses on maternal health, snakebite response systems, and health services development in low-resource settings. His work spans Indonesia, Myanmar, East Timor, and China, collaborating with universities and government departments to improve healthcare quality and access.
Research Highlights:
- Leading a DFAT-funded project to enhance maternal healthcare in 6 Indonesian districts.
- Conducting snakebite treatment and community education initiatives in Myanmar.
- Pioneering participatory approaches to strengthen health systems in Southeast Asia.
