Anu Rammohan is a Professor of Economics and Director of International Relations at the UWA Business School. She holds senior roles at institutions like the Australia Indonesia Centre and Australia India Institute. Her research focuses on household-level poverty, maternal and child health outcomes, food security, and gender issues in South and Southeast Asia, particularly India, Indonesia, and Myanmar. She has secured significant grants from bodies like the Australian Research Council and DFAT. Rammohan holds a M.A. from Simon Fraser University and a Ph.D. from La Trobe University.
Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing health, poverty reduction, and gender equity. Key research outputs include studies on maternal health in India, food security reforms in Indonesia, and alcohol consumption patterns in Vietnam. She has received the UWA Business School Research Development Award (2011) and serves on editorial and expert panels, including the ARC College of Experts.
