Mish Nkhata

Dr. Mish Nkhata is a Lecturer in Global Public Health at Teesside University, focusing on non-communicable disease management in resource-limited settings. Her ethnographic research examines diabetes care uncertainties in Malawi and multimorbidity challenges across Africa. She co-leads the BRECON project on oral cancer genomics capacity-building in sub-Saharan Africa and investigates physician burnout through the ReBINFLAMe study.

Nkhata employs mixed-methods approaches to address health system strengthening and service accessibility, including studies on childhood weight management in England. Her work prioritizes health equity and community-engaged solutions for chronic conditions.
