Felix Knauf

Prof. Dr. Felix Knauf is a Professor and Medical Director at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, leading the Department of Nephrology and Medical Intensive Care. He serves as the Site Manager for the Charité Mitte Campus (CCM) and focuses on strengthening healthcare and diagnostics for non-communicable diseases in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly Uganda. His work emphasizes collaboration with international universities and local organizations to improve community-level healthcare and education.

Research interests include addressing gaps in diagnosing and treating conditions like hypertension, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease, with a global health perspective. Prof. Knauf’s initiatives prioritize capacity building in nephrology and sustainable health system improvements in resource-limited settings.

He is affiliated with the Charité Center for Global Health and the Global Health Network (CC 11), driving interdisciplinary efforts to enhance health equity through knowledge exchange and education.
