Dr. Mirjam Frey is a 0.5-part-time Lecturer at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences, affiliated with the Clinical Psychology & Experimental Psychopathology group. She holds dual appointments at the Heymans Institute for Psychological Research and Psychiatrie Noord (specialized mental health care). Her expertise includes cognitive behavioral therapy, meaning in life interventions, and (sexual) self-disgust research. She completed her PhD in Psychology at Tübingen University (2017), supported by a Baden-Württemberg scholarship and LEAD Graduate School participation. Prior to academia, she worked seven years in psychosomatic clinics and earned a systemic therapy qualification. Teaching responsibilities include coordinating clinical forensic skills courses, supervising Master's theses, and delivering CBT lectures. Research focuses on eating disorder interventions and transdiagnostic symptom networks.
