Dr Mingjun Yang is a Lecturer in Management and HR at La Trobe Business School since October 2022. She holds a PhD in Management from Swinburne University of Technology (2019-2021), an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Melbourne (2014-2016), and a BA in Linguistics from the University of the East, Manila (2009-2012). Her research focuses on Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Group Diversity, Innovation, and Multilevel Modeling, with a particular emphasis on hospitality and service industries.
Her work explores topics such as ethical leadership’s impact on service performance, the role of group diversity in innovation, and the effects of task conflict on organizational outcomes. She has published in top-tier journals like Journal of Service Research and International Journal of Hospitality Management. Additionally, she serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management.
Teaching responsibilities include courses on International Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour. She is fluent in English and Mandarin, with expertise in peer review and academic writing. Her research often employs advanced statistical methods like multilevel curvilinear modeling to analyze complex organizational dynamics.
