معرفی
Miin Chua is a researcher affiliated with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies at James Cook University in Townsville, Australia. She completed her PhD in 2013 under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Baird, Dr. Bill Leggat, and Prof. Terry Hughes, focusing on the impacts of climate change and ocean acidification on coral larval and juvenile ecology. Her work examines temperature and CO2 stress effects on coral fertilization, larval development, and reef resilience.
Education: PhD (James Cook University, 2013), Bachelor’s degree (university unspecified).
Research Interests: Climate change impacts on coral reefs, ocean acidification effects, coral larval and juvenile ecology, and reef resilience mechanisms. Her studies bridge ecological and physiological responses to environmental stressors, contributing to understanding future reef dynamics.
Collaborations: Active projects with the University of Western Australia and the University of Amsterdam, focusing on coral reef adaptation strategies.
Media & Outreach: Involved in ARC Centre initiatives including media releases on coral reef DNA studies and climate change impacts on marine ecosystems.
Labs/Teams: Core member of the ARC Centre’s research group, contributing to multi-disciplinary coral reef studies.
