Michele de la Reza is an Associate Teaching Professor of Dance at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Music and Co-Founder/Co-Artistic Director of Attack Theatre. Her work fuses modern dance with original live music and interdisciplinary art forms, touring internationally including performances at the Avignon Festival (France), Spoleto USA, and Monaco Danses Forum. She collaborates with orchestras (e.g., Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra), opera companies (Pittsburgh Opera), and museums (Carnegie Museum of Art).
Education: BFA in Dance from The Juilliard School and MSc in Developmental Movement/Motor Learning from the University of Pittsburgh.
Research Focus: Interdisciplinary performance creation emphasizing collaboration between dance, music, and visual arts. Key projects include Squonk (Broadway debut), Stravinsky’s L’histoire du Soldat, and works with Quantum Theatre and Pittsburgh Festival Opera.

Advising & Outreach: Leads Attack Theatre’s residency at CMU School of Music. Teaches dance pedagogy through CMU Pre-College and Dalcroze Eurythmics Training Center since 2008, integrating kinesthetic learning strategies into education.
Labs/Teams: Attack Theatre (resident dance company), collaborations with Nibroll Collective (Japan), Compagnie Matteo Moles (Belgium), and the Dalcroze Training Center.
