Michaela Benzeval is Professor of Longitudinal Research and Director/Principal Investigator of Understanding Society: the UK Household Longitudinal Study at the University of Essex, with a secondary appointment as Visiting Professor at the University of Glasgow's Institute of Health and Wellbeing. Her career includes previous positions at the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit, Queen Mary University of London, and the King's Fund.
