Michael Stock is Professor of Cinema and Media Studies at SCI-Arc with over a decade of teaching experience. His scholarship examines the intersection of media, technology, and perception through courses in American Film History, World Cinema Aesthetics, and specialized seminars in science fiction and animation.
Research explores automotive-cinematic interfaces, technological embodiment, and media archaeology. Current book project Always Crashing: Automobility and the Cinema analyzes how automotive technologies have shaped cinematic perception and urban landscapes.
Education includes PhD in Cinema and Media Studies (UCLA), MA and BA in English (University of Nebraska, Lincoln).
