Michael Pirson is Professor and James A. F. Stoner Endowed Chair in Global Sustainability at Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business, where he chairs the Leading People and Organizations area. Having joined Fordham in 2008, he directs both the on-campus and online M.S. in Management programs.
His research pioneers humanistic management frameworks, focusing on dignity-centered leadership, sustainable business transformation, and ethical organizational practices. Core interests include reimagining capitalism through stakeholder welfare, promoting well-being in workplaces, and integrating love/compassion into management theory.
Pirson's extensive publication record demonstrates consistent exploration of humanistic principles applied to leadership, organizational communication, and sustainable development. Recent works systematically examine dignity measurement, transformative service design, and ethical corporate governance, reflecting interdisciplinary integration across management, psychology, and sustainability studies.
