Sophia Town is Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior at Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business, where she researches human-centered approaches to business education through practical wisdom (phronesis) and human flourishing frameworks.
Her scholarship examines:
- Discerning leadership development through critical reflexivity
- Emotion regulation in workplace dynamics
- Paradox navigation in organizational structures
- Transformative pedagogy integrating mindfulness practices
Honors include the Jeanne Lind Herberger Fellowship (2018) for transformative work-life research, Fordham's Teaching Excellence Award (2018), and Dean's Award for Teaching Innovation (2021) for curriculum redesign.
As research fellow for Fordham's Center for Humanistic Management and Arizona State's Center for Mindfulness, Compassion & Resilience, she develops evidence-based frameworks for compassionate leadership education.
