Michael Greenstone

Michael Greenstone, the Milton Friedman Professor in Economics at the University of Chicago, is a leading expert in environmental economics, energy policy, and climate change impacts. He directs the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago and the Energy & Environment Lab at the University of Chicago Urban Labs. His career includes high-level advisory roles, such as serving as Chief Economist for President Barack Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers and current membership on the Secretary of Energy’s Advisory Board.
