Michael Grant is an Associate Professor of Instruction and Director of Online Education in Psychology at Ohio University's College of Arts and Sciences. He also serves as an Undergraduate Academic Adviser and has held roles on the Institutional Review Board (IRB). His academic career includes a nine-year tenure at Boston University as a postdoctoral fellow and Assistant Professor.
Education: PhD (2003) and BS (1999) in Biobehavioral Health from The Pennsylvania State University, both with distinction and honors.
Research Interests: Focuses on behavioral genetics, cognitive aging, and prenatal influences on development. His work includes the Vietnam Era Twin Study of Aging (VETSA), a longitudinal study analyzing genetic and environmental factors in aging through twin pairs. He also explores developmental psychology and the ethical governance of research through his IRB committee involvement.
Awards: Recipient of the NRSA Post-Doctoral Fellowship during his time at Boston University. Active in teaching, instructing courses on general psychology, behavior genetics, and developmental stages across the lifespan.
