Rosemary Toomey is Research Professor in Psychological and Brain Sciences at Boston University, where she directs neuropsychological assessment at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders. With a PhD in Clinical Psychology, her career spans research on neuropsychological aspects of schizophrenia, PTSD, Gulf War Illness, and aging cognition across military and veteran populations.
Her research examines neurotoxic exposures, trauma, and aging processes affecting cognitive function. Current projects include leading the Gulf War Illness Treatment Trial (GWITT) investigating d-cycloserine therapy, participating in the Gulf War Illness Consortium (GWIC), and contributing to the Vietnam Era Twin Study of Aging (VETSA).
