Michael Gerber is the Michael Simmons and Michael Gerber Professor of Law at Brooklyn Law School, specializing in bankruptcy law. He authored a widely used Chapter 11 casebook and contributes to Collier on Bankruptcy. His research focuses on corporate governance in bankruptcy, intellectual property treatment, and international insolvency law. Gerber directs the law school's foreign summer study program and co-leads the Barry Zaretsky Roundtable on bankruptcy issues. Previously, he served as Associate Dean for Development and interim Dean.
