Michael Brinley

Michael Brinley is an Assistant Professor of History at Princeton University, specializing in Soviet Union and Modern Russia. His research explores the urban revolutions of the twentieth century, focusing on social and political conflicts that shaped the modern world.

Research Interests: His work investigates Soviet city planning institutions during the postwar era, examining the roles of planners and architects in urban politics. He also studies late imperial Russian historiography and the professionalization of history through the Feodor Kuz'mich legend.
